This chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe, located in the lands of the Hacienda de la Gorvorana whose origins can be traced back to the days of the conquest, since its founder Don Francisco de Gorval accompanied or in advance Fern ndez de Lugo during the taking of the Island for the crown, its construction could be started at the end of the 16th century, having proof of its existence in the first decades of the XVII, endowed by the first Marquis of Alcialczar with the subsequent obligation of attend to the successive owners of the property until today, but open to public worship. Inside you can see a mud jar roof with lacer and rich ornamentation, in the background a small or polychrome baroque altarpiece belonging to the 18th century, contains the headline image, Our Lady of Guadalupe, with iconic peculiarities that can be remembered It shows the extreme representations of this image that those carried out in Mexico, carry in their left arm a child or Jesus who in his left hand with a globe crossed with a cross and the blessed right. Among the canvases, one of the eighteenth century stands out, with the representation of Saint Catherine of Alexandria. |

Rectangular building with a small sacristy attached to the south side. Resolved in the traditional way with a three-water roof of Arabic tile, housing inside a coffered mud jar with lacer and profuse decoration n. The main facade with a straight lintel opening with a two-leaf door on which a rectangular skylight was made, is to highlight the closing of the frontispiece of circular shape made in a few later ones, as well as the small bell tower that recently houses a bell and this annex to the south. The hermitage has a side access cover on its south facade. |
