CALLE DOMINGUEZ ALFONSO ESPACIO URBANO

Domínguez Alfonso street is part of the foundational area of the nucleus of Arona, whose origins date back to the founding of the primitive hermitage of San Antonio Abad by Antón Domínguez, “el Viejo” in 1625, owner of a large part of the land between Los Cristianos y Los Quemados and resident in the place known as “Casitas de Altavista”, on the current town of Arona. Around the temple and throughout the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, the primitive settlement would be configured, characterized by its marked rural character and with a scattered population, which, already entered the XIX, would give rise to a greater definition of the historical urban fabric . This is articulated from the Plaza de la Iglesia and two descending paths - Duque de la Torre street and Domínguez street

Alfonso-, connected to each other by the streets La Luna, del Medio and La Constitución. This street at the confluence with Calle La Luna presents a concentration of one-story or terraced houses, associated with a more humble population, showing the variations typical of the late 19th century in terms of the composition of the facades.
