The Protected Landscape of the Seven Hills is an eminently agrarian area that occupies a strip in the middle of the G Mar Valley. Its main characteristic is a series of hills separated by ravines, more or less embedded, that extend from the summit to the sea, producing landscapes of spectacular effects. Self-supply, rudimentary and poorly mechanized agriculture is the main socio-economic activity of the area. . The plantations of potatoes, vines and fruit trees stand out, which are accessed by a complex network of tracks and trails.

In the high part of the Seven Hills there is a thick mountain, a little deteriorated. Farmers, in a process that lasts hundreds of years, have been crowded the land forming a stepped peak where they proceed to harvest.

Siete Lomas constitutes a picturesque landscape, of an agrarian character, with a transformed vegetation, where several threatened and protected species such as cabbage of Risco (Crambe arborea) subsist in some sectors of cliffs or riverbeds.

It is constituted mainly by basics of the basic type of Series III, although deposits of pumitas of Series II and III are also observed, and basic series of older antiquity of Series II. All these materials have surfaced and today are exposed by erosion, although there are some more recent ones where this process has not been able to act. These materials belong to the eruptions of Media Monta a (Series IV) and the Arenas or Arafo volcano in 1705.

This space was declared by Law 12/1987, of June 19, on the Declaration of Natural Spaces of the Canary Islands, as part of the natural park of Laderas de Santa rsula, the organs and highlands of the G Mar Valley, and reclassified to its current category by Law 12/1994, of December 19, on Natural Areas of the Canary Islands.

Predominate, as an agricultural area, the plantations of the farmers themselves (saw, potatoes, fruit trees, ...). In the most recent laundry there is an interesting community of quenes. These, which constitute the first step for soil formation, are accompanied in certain areas by specimens of pine trees (Pinus canariensis) and vinegars (Rumex lunaria). However, in the more rugged areas, typical species of the terrestrial forest predominate and the occasional species in danger of extinction, such as crag cabbage (Crambe arborea).
