CASA ALONSO

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE
- Arquitectura Civil y Doméstica. Anterior al S.XX -

With this building the architect Antonio Pintor began a trend towards more opulent forms provided since 1920 by Domingo Pisaca. Given the proximity of the Cabildo building, at that time it was the headquarters of this agency's offices.

Casa Alonso

A basement, commercial bass sector, with large rectangular openings and grooved pilasters is distinguished. Then the large balcony, clearly separates the commercial area from the homes on the upper floors. The pilasters that go from the balcony to the cornice, unify the upper sector. The first level sill combines openwork shapes with plinths and pin asses. The composition is defined in horizontal strips: basement, balcony, sill, line of windows, intermediate cornice, windows of the second floor and finishing of the building. On the first level the windows are continuous between pilasters within a landscape bay subdivided into sectors by pilasters. On the second level, windows doors in blind countries open onto individual flown balconies, with wrought iron railings. Elements of interest: Woodwork. Roof balustrade. Iron railings balconies.
