It is located in the urban environment of San Agust n, next to the Church of Carmen. It is located on the former site occupied by the convent of Augustinian nuns of San Andr and Santa Monica, unique to the female branch in the islands. After the confiscation, the building was occupied by the Realejo town hall, until its fire in 1952. The current configuration was designed by Enrique Rumeu in 1960, undergoing a transformation in the wrought iron railing in the 1990s.

A regular space is conceived consisting of a first square, delimited by San Agust and La Alh ndiga, whose space gives access to the Church of Carmen. Beautiful square built in the sixties of the twentieth century and inspired by the neo-Canarian architecture of the beginning of the century. The wide space of access to the Church of Carmen is surrounded by a rail forged in its perimeter following eccratic tastes. Inside it has a series of benches, flower beds, beds and planters all planned with an exquisite study of pedestrian circulation. At the east and west ends it is topped by two access stairs. The square, with a rectangular plan, is built in Africa, allowing a series of commercial premises to be incorporated into the ground floor and saving the unevenness of the land, covering part of the steel by means of a flown.
