Sculpture in homage to one of the traditional trades of these highlands, where the pigs travel the roads and paths between the highlands and the middle to reach the areas of greater population and sell their pigs that transported them in the baskets called raposas. These moved mainly between the months of November and January that were in which the massacres were practiced, during their long journey they took advantage of some of the caves near the roads to spend the night. This figure of the piglet was a popular initiative that was born in August 2006 by the Association of Feasts of Our Lady of the Good Journey. He commissioned the design of the realejero sculptor Francisco Garc to Palmero, who made the work in bronze. |
