MOLINO DE LA PIÑERA

Founded in 1922, built with the help of the neighbors, it belonged to Daniel P rez Cabrera, and its mission was to grind wheat and millet for the elaboration of the gofio, using the water coming from a gallery, which was channeled through A pipe and was responsible for generating the movement that allows the grinding. Due to the need for the absence of light, the idea of using the mill to generate electricity arises, achieved in 1923, and carrying out its inauguration on September 28, 1930. In this way, the Mill of La Pi was During the day he was responsible for producing gofio, while at night he supplied electricity to the area. He is currently in a dilapidated state, caused by disuse and abandonment.
