This hacienda is located within the former land boundaries of 'Los Grimones ', properties that were linked to the old mayorazgo founded in 1558 by D. Tom s Grim n, these lands belonging for long to the marquisate of Villanueva del Meadow. The hacienda is located in one of the steepest parts of the realejera coast being an obligatory step on the Royal road of the coast, it is among the haciendas, which were also within the lands of the Grimones, Roque and Roquillo. The hacienda was dedicated from the 16th century to the polyculture, standing out for the production of wines. The main historical characteristics of this building set is the formal constitution of this, since it is developed as a small payment, which hosted an important number of population belonging to farm workers, at the same time as they inhabited all those of other ranch farms. It was depopulated during the second half of the 20th century, although it suffered the occupation of a group of people at the end of that century. |

This set is made up of nine building modules arranged around the four cobbled streets, two in the north-south direction and two east-west. It has like all farms in the area own water, pond and laundry. Stresses the simple architecture, which following the guidelines of traditional architecture, adapts to the characteristics of the place. Highlights include the houses of exposed stone, provided with roofs to four waters, with facade compositions articulated in door and window. Inside, the living spaces are divided into those of services, as are the kitchens at the entrances or in single-sided spaces, attached to the main building. Of this set, the winery stands out, which centralizes the urbanized space, construction with a wooden structure in pairs and rows, conserving inside a press press, from the 19th century u2013 XX. The other construction is a house of two heights and rectangular plant, unique in the place, with splinters roof and wooden floors. |
