This religious building located next to the Calvary of Santiago Apostle, on La Ermita street in the San Benito neighborhood, was possibly built in the 17th century, serving as a meeting place for the development of social life as well as for the celebrations of religious cults In 1905 it was the subject of an integral intervention, where the stone slabs were removed to place hydraulic mosaics, and the roof was also repaired. In 1978 the complete roof covering was carried out. And recently the roof was again intervened as it presented broken and other displaced tiles. |

This building of great constructive simplicity, is defined by a rectangular plan, where the load-bearing walls are arranged in a single creak, thus being composed of a single nave. Its main façade is defined by a tester wall, where there is a single vain, a semicircular arch that gives access to the religious site through a stairway, to the left of it is the wooden cross, leaving on the right, protruding from the building, a small sword where the bell is housed. Its southeast side facade, is aligned with the public vap, and in it three openings, window-door-sale, and is finished off with a double-row eave of roof tile extension of the roof, as occurs in the facade rear where a single window is located. The roofing system is solved by a three-sided roof tile roof, on a pair and row wooden structure. |
