The hermitage is linked to the Socorro farm land dedicated to agricultural exploitation throughout its history, located next to the old Royal Road. There is evidence of the connection in the first half of the seventeenth century in mayorazgo to the children of Esteban del Hoyo and Jer nima de Ayala, Throughout the 18th century the Treasury arose next to the construction of this hermitage that stood at the foot of the Royal road with a direct access door to it. The hermitage erected to the cult of Our Lady of Relief, helping image in the ailments and calamities of the present life, as well as the dangers of the sea is of great advocacy among sailors. Inside there is a painted altarpiece, which includes a sculpture with a youthful face and mane, made of polychrome wood, showing its clothing strong tones. In the side streets there are three canvases that represent San Jerimo and San Esteban Martyr with the Holy Trinity finishing off these. It also hosts an 18th century leo where the scene of the Family of the Virgin is represented. |

Building of rectangular plant and North-South axis has a small sacristy of square plant in the west. The ship following the mud jar tradition features three-sided roof and row roofing without ornamentation in almizate and covered with Arabic tile. The north facade is the main one and is elevated from the level of the road, accessing it by a rough stone staircase, opening a straight lintel opening but marked by a false arch of a half point of subsequent execution. It is also crowned in the East by a small sword with a single bell with a semicircular arch of subsequent execution. In the west wall it presents the second bay also of straight lintel and that gives access from the farm and the sacristy to the interior of this ship. |
