Dated in the seventeenth century when the existence of a small hermitage was narrated in which religious events were held for the residents of Tigaiga. At the beginning of the 17th century, this hermitage stands under the patronage of the Immaculate Conception. Various construction phases, especially in the eighteenth and twentieth centuries, have set up a large space where the titular image, animate size of the Seven Hundred, is housed in its testator, along with four canvases of Franciscan saints attributed to Crist bal Hern ndez de Quintana ( 1651 u2013 1725), the beautiful canvas of the Canarian school concept, and the image of San Jos that in recent years has undergone a serious transformation. |

The hermitage is accessed through a double leaf door located on the main facade, crowned by a sword where the bell is located. The internal structure is of a single ship, with a diamond point cover over the presbytery, having as an attached dependency a sacrist a located to the left of the altar. The cover of the rest of the hermitage is gabled while the sacristy is a flat roof. The walls are made of mason (a, stone, mud and lime) with an approximate thickness of 50 cm. In the part of the presbytery it has a small window. As decorative elements we can find the stone moldings that frame the access cover. This hermitage is a key center of popular religiosity of the locality. |
