In the former location of the Juan de Gordejuela mill and next to the waterfalls that bear his name, La Casa Hamilt n a company of British origin in 1898 constitutes the main investor in the constitution of the Gordejuela water society, in 1902 it acquires all the shares of the company and the works of the pumping station that will raise the water to the top of the cliff located about 200 meters above sea level begin. The installation designed by the military engineer Jos Galv n Balaguer supported by Le n deTorres and Le n Huerta. Due to the fall in exportation, the Hamilt House entered into losses and tried to sell some of the water to other areas of the Island, but these proposals were not heard by the rulers. Subsequently going to the Fyffes company. Inside the buildings, the first industrial steam engine installed on the island of Tenerife was housed. The beginning of its decline was due to the use of an old elevation system that became obsolete, as well as the progressive abandonment of agriculture, the high costs of the process and the loss of water quality. All this caused the closure of the facilities.


Industrial complex intended for pumping water from nearby springs that channeled to the station. The original configuration of the complex consisted of three buildings, a warehouse and a large chimney, as well as the different access infrastructure and water channeling.

The first building located in the southern part was the building for the housing of the workers, of rectangular plan and a single height with load-bearing walls and gable roof on robbed metal truss, the highlight of this building is the foundation by means of a large die of contention, the west facade is practically attached to the slope of the ravine, accessing the building on the north where it presents a straight-sided access opening with a half-point grip on it. The rest of the facades present the opening of openings with a half-point arch. Going down the road we find the location of the old building that will house the machinery of the boilers, of rectangular plan and of which only remains of the pavement and remains of the West wall remain.

The large piece of this complex is located at a height of approximately 40 meters above sea level, supporting its foundation on the rock of the cliff so that it appears to be an extension of it.
