Cristo de la Columna

The theme of Christ tied to the column corresponds iconographically to the scourging of Jesus ordered by Pilate. The hands tied on the spine, the whipped back, the painted grimaces, the low eyes show the pain and humiliation of the action. The image represents Jesus with long hair and the right foot forward with the intention of achieving balance and sense of movement.
