The property located at a crossroads is erected in a corner of the plot where the convent of San Juan Bautista was erected, erected by Juan de Gordejuela in 1610, convent destroyed by a fire in 1806 and confiscated in the thirties of that century . At the end of the 19th century, the ownership of the land is acquired by the brothers of Cuban origin Hern ndez Gonz lez, distributing it to erect their homes. In this way, we proceed to build the house of his sisters, specifically this property belongs to one of his sisters who married a member of the Siverio family. The property is built according to the guidelines of a popular eclecticism, a style that represents a change of mentality of the new classes arrived at the municipality after the end of the old regime. Its construction dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. The compositional simplicity and the figurative abstraction of the property where there is a fusion of aesthetic features and different influences encompass it within the typology of ecological real estate, in this way, the incipient ecological style incorporates greater artistic achievements in the facade thanks to the use of reinforced concrete which generates new construction processes, structural systems and improvements in habitability. |

The property is built on a rectangular ground floor, although the built volume acquires a silver shape in the form of 'L ', developed in two heights with an arrangement of the openings arranged. On the ground floor all the access doors to the different units are located, while on the upper floor there are the window doors with a small balustrade that generates a small or non-viewing balcony. The openings are characterized by their slenderness and the use of moldings or rich sculptural bands that are framed in the part of the lintel, all this made possible by the use of constructive systems in the structural elements based on reinforced concrete. Superiorly the property is covered with a flat roof and inclined to four waters of curved tile, closed in a per meter with a parapet with decoration na base of garlands and embossed shields. As a decorative element, two cornices that delimit the first of the second floor and second floor of the roof area are installed on the facades. On one of the sides, towards the open space generated by the plant in 'L ', a glazed corridor is located on the second floor. |
