This cross chapel located on Los Afligidos street, belongs to the group of chapels dedicated to the diffusion and devotion to the Holy wood in Los Realejos, built in the mid-twentieth century, to accommodate a wood that originally, located on the va, protected To the neighbors of the area. This tradition existing in the municipality, is mainly due to the fact that after the foundation of the beginning of the 17th century of the convent of Santa Lucia of the Franciscan Order, those friars placed crosses in different places on the outskirts of the population centers establishing their own Go to Crucis. |

Construction of a single body, of limited dimensions, which presents a simple facade, where as it is characteristic of this type of building, it has a unique opening in its front, a semicircular arch, whose carpenter allows a view n of the interior, where the wooden cross is housed. The building is finished off by a curved front on which a cross is placed, being on both sides of it a small pilaster finished in a diamond point. |
