Villa de Los Realejos

Building of religious character that can be dated around 1864, when the neighborhood got a physical space where to guard and venerate the exceptional piece of the silver-plated cross. Being included within the group of buildings dedicated to the diffusion and devotion to the Holy wood in Los Realejos. Tradition linked to two historical facts, the first one can be associated with the conquest of the island of Tenerife in 1496 with the placement of a wooden cross in what will later be the temple of Santiago Ap stol, of which an they conserve remains within the silver filigree cross of (1677). Meanwhile, the second fact can be associated with the foundation at the beginning of the 17th century of the convent belonging to the Franciscan Order, which led to those friars placing crosses in different places away from the population centers establishing their own V a Crucis.

Capilla de Cruz de la calle El Sol

Small building of a religious character composed of a rectangular plan and flat roof, with a front that has a single vain of half a point framed as an ashlar and a stone, this country is split by a ledge that marks the level of cover on which a frontispiece is developed framed by two lateral pilarets and crowned with curved lines, is its axis, a central sword with a single half-point span, the end of which is a cross carved in stone.
