In the popular El Medio de Arriba street, this property was erected in 1947 to house the Viera y Clavijo Theater-Cinema on a project by the architect Jos Enrique Marrero Regalado, responsible, among other works, for the Candelaria Basica and the headquarters of the Cabildo de Tenerife, and one of the most notable representatives of the so-called neo-Canarian style, typical of the architecture prevailing at that time. In the 70s, the previous century underwent a series of interior reforms that transformed its initial appearance.

This public building was conceived in the usual manner of the moment by three distinct bodies, the service area at the entrance followed by the spectator hall and finally the scene and screen body. The service area ordered by an entrance hall located as an annex of a single floor to the north, communicates with a module of three heights frontal to the façade housing the distribution corridors as well as the staircase access stairs attached to both ends, continuing north to the projection and deck cabin. This was solved by a large metal truss capable of covering the great light of the armchair and stage, and with the use of a flat roof over the service corps.

The main façade composed of two well-differentiated volumes, where that of the single-height entrance is solved with an archway of three half-point openings framed in stone. Leaving way to the main volume that maintains a composition of five vertical axes and three heights, highlighting the upper flown body, which houses dependencies of the projection cabin, to which inferiorly decoration of stone dogs is added as an interpretative reminiscence of the characteristics of the vernacular architecture, the basis of the neocanarian movement, as well as the use of stone framed windows, where the use of curves breaks the rectilinear tendency of the facade.
