Located on the right bank of the Barranco de Avingo or Amance, this street is part of the old 'Camino that goes to the water ', in reference to the main water supply point of Arafo. Through the sunsets I ran to the water coming from the galleries of A avingo and Los Huecos.
The construction of this canal and aqueduct or archway, is linked to the execution of the mill that the waters serve. This work, dated in 1895, is carried out after the purchase of the land by Antonio Marrero P rez, 'elinero viejo ', which after having achieved savings through the trade of wines and spirits with Venezuela, requests this site from the town hall, taken out at auction by the city council with the condition that only one work could be made useful for the neighborhood, at the same time that the condition for the use of water as a driving force was imposed, to keep the canalization and water in good condition What was happening for her.

After the acquisition of the land by Antonio Marrero P rez, for a medical price since it was the only one that was submitted to the auction, the works of execution of the new channels began. A bifurcation of the waters was generated maintaining the passage towards the public supply and realizing a new channel that by means of an aqueduct executed by the master of works Juan de Padrn, that also executed the works corresponding to the mill on which it poured these waters as a driving force.

This channel continues its course giving service to the laundry, water supply jets and a ...

The infrastructure consists of a volcano made of volcanic stone that leads the waters of the gallery of Avingo and Los Huecos, to the fork of these waters just before starting its walk through the arcade, running in clean course for supply of the population incorporating a new course to generate the driving force capable of moving the machinery of the old mill.

At the fork of the waters, an infrastructure was made that was able to bring the waters to the pressure bucket. A five-eyed aqueduct was executed, with a lowered arch that maintains the dimension until reaching the cube. This aqueduct originally executed with basic and enriched stone also shows reinforcement interventions subsequently carried out through the incorporation of rough stone.

The last body on which the waters pour, already forming part of the constitution of the mill, corresponds to the pressure bucket, from which the three basics of basic stone superimposed from highest to lowest can be seen. This provision corresponds to an economizing construction, since they are developed in response to the water column pressures that each of them must withstand.
