This building located in the surroundings of the current Plaza de San Juan Degollado, whose initial settlement is historically due to the displacement of the population of Arafo after the eruption in 1705 of the Arenas volcano to this area, where it was located the primitive hermitage dedicated to San Juan Bautista Degollado, which was erected between 1672 and 1690, to later be declared as a parish at the end of the 17th century and be the beginning of the civil segregation of Candelaria. Grouping in this current environment the largest civil buildings in the municipality.

This house belonged to Heliodoro Rodr guez Cuello, (1883-1938), who emigrated to Cuba, where he became one of the most prestigious physicians born in Arafo; He began his career as a simple physician of the Philharmonic Society 'Nivaria ' of his hometown; then he emigrated to Cuba, where he continued his musical progress, returning to Arafo to devote himself to agriculture, but he returned to Cuba only two years later to be a director of the Mor n Municipal Band; leaving this property in the hands of his heirs.

Property built on an L-shaped floor, in which new modules have subsequently been added. The house is doing showing two faces to the ve. The property of two heights, having four perfectly symmetrical openings in its main front, and three openings in its lateral face placed in a random way.

The gaps of the main facade are divided into two on the ground floor, doors, and two on the upper floor, windows. The openings of the side façade consist of a door and a window on the lower floor, and another window on the upper floor.

The carpenters are of simple design and little elaborated with rectangular frames where the vertical axis predominates over the horizontal one, while the windows are guillotine type, while the windows are fixed.

The facades, both the main and the side mark the two heights and end in a molded stone sill.
