CALLE MÚSICOS DE ARAFO, Nº1

Villa de Arafo
- Arquitectura Civil y Doméstica. Arquitectura Doméstica Urbana -

Building located in the surroundings of the current square of San Juan Degollado, whose initial settlement is historically due to the displacement of the population of Arafo after the eruption in 1705 of the Arenas volcano to this area, grouping in this environment current buildings of greater civil size of the municipality.

This house was built in the 19th century, and in it was born the priest D. Santiago Fari a Garc a (1830-1901).

Calle Músicos de Arafo, nº1

Traditional style building with a square floor plan, with two floors, to which construction has been annexed at later times.
The property has a flat roof covering in the center and a gable roof, with Arabic roof tile on the lower side.
The facade is divided into two heights and two blocks of different height. It has three messy openings with two doors at the bottom and a window at the top.
The carpentry is a very simple billing, where one of the doors has rectangular frames, while the other is simply a wooden splint. Likewise, the window is a guillotine type with a frame of ccacave sockets.
