This building is located on La Libertad Street, whose pathway genes correspond to an ancient aboriginal transhumant road that joins the summit and coast of the Gimar Valley.
This street connects the Plaza de San Juan Degollado with the old Plazuela del Llano, and through it came much of the public and economic life of Arafo running in both directions the cars that communicated this population with the rest of the regions of the island. In it during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries new buildings were erected that housed public functions (casinos, town hall ...) that coexisted with the historic buildings dedicated to the agricultural holdings so present in the municipality.

I belonged to the Foronda family, to later go to the sculptor Manuel Bethencourt.

Housing of three heights, although possibly the third floor has been a later annex. With a rectangular floor plan, to which annexes have subsequently been added, both at the top and at the rear of the property, leaving a house with an L-shaped floor.
In the main front of the house it has a trapezoidal shape, to adapt to the land, with two balconies on the upper floor. There are six openings, three on the ground floor, and three on the upper floor.
The doors of the ground floor, possibly replaced, are formed by two swinging leaves except for the larger one, which is formed by three hinged bodies. On the upper floor are three door windows, which give access to the balconies.
The carpenters have been replaced, leaving those of the lower floor wooden, being formed by rectangular frames, where the height predominates against the horizontality; and those of the upper floor have been replaced by aluminum carpenter.
The two balconies protrude approximately one meter from the facade being topped at the bottom with a molding with leaf decoration as well as a molding with circular and straight beads. As for the locksmith, it is formed by vertical bars with striations, which come out from a skirting board with a very elaborate decoration of medallions.
Topping off what the facade, prior to the sill, there is a molding that gives strength to the set formed by curves and against curves. Above is the sill behind which a cover appears ...
