Located in the center of Teguise, a place chaired by the main church of Lanzarote dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe. The square was represented by Leonardo Torriani around 1590. Pedro del Castillo around 1686, and others. He spent a lot of time being a physical space without any architectural element. In 1893 the place was planted by planting trees, and already in the first day of the twentieth century a wall was erected around the square to define a rectangular plan with independent access on its sides. In the second day, it is improved by forming a structure similar to the one it currently presents, in addition to the two lions designed by Francisco Sp nola G mez. Around the 40s the source and the stone banks of Arucas were incorporated, contributing, mainly Luis Ram rez Gonz lez. Planters and other elements were added in addition to those already existing in the next Palacio Sp Nola.
