The City Council of Teguise is built on the convent units of the former local monastery of the Order of Santo Domingo. From here it conserves two arcades of the cloister and the original reservoirs. In 1956 the municipal authorities agreed to carry out a series of remodeling works that were already destined for Town Halls and public schools. Once the building was completed, it had a flat roof-shaped roof, and in its frontispiece we highlight the carved cover with a semicircular arch of red tuff and a wooden top balustrade.
