CASA TORRES

TEGUISE
- Arquitectura Doméstica. La Casa Urbana -

Property built in the 18th century that is linked to the Torres family, with special mention to the presbyter Bartolom Torres.

The house is the prototype of the two-story urban orial house, frequent in Teguise. Its composition in plan is very basic since the first creak is defined only by a height level, leaving the rest of the property with two floors. Outwardly, its frontispiece stands out, with a cover similar to the Sp nola house and four windows. It retains an interesting high-rise chimney (three meters) where the comic forms are combined with the octagonal ones. The house articulates its intimate space from a central patio and preserves ceilings with rough stone without plastering between the beams.
