It was an old property of the Dominican Order that was sold to the Sp nola family. Here some prominent members of the Sp nola clan resided, we remember in this sense the sculptor Francisco Sp nola, the painters Francisca and mar Rosa Sp nola, the writer Dominga Sp nola, the sisters Esperanza and Manuela Sp nola Ram rez, or the writer Leandro Sp nola Perdomo, for whom the house was a source of inspiration for many of his unforgettable customs pages.

Casa Spínola

The house is structured on two levels, leaving a central courtyard as an epicenter of composition in which also an important balcony was installed, forming a gallery. On the right side the mansion has a large garden that has subsequently been converted into a sports and recreation area at the request of the local council.

It is characterized by its double L floor, with its inner courtyard, one of the most beautiful in Teguise. The patio constitutes the central core around which the units of the ground and upper floors are distributed. Access to it is made directly through the hall. It has a cistern carved in stone and covered by a wooden drill. As a two-story house, horizontal beams are placed supported by footings, on which an organization of balconies and stairs is built.

On the ground floor there is a door and two windows, on the high floor four windows with quarters, the corners are made of stone, the flat roof and the stone in stone.
