It is a neo-Canarian style building that due to its aesthetic and functional characteristics quickly increased its prestige, even among the most demanding travelers. At first it had 80 rooms, although soon they became 128 and then more than double. The Rumeu de Armas project consists of integrating said building into the residential complex of Las Ramblas, which I got. As for the building, it has seven floors with ecological architectural elements, although the original only offered a basic square floor around a central courtyard and a height of two floors that faced the boulevard, also on the second floor it had a gallery to and in the upper area with a terrace. Regarding the roof, they are made of gabled tiles. On the other hand, the gardens will be a fundamental element in the aesthetics of the building, which will have an aesthetic shape, even in the sixties the garden areas will increase even more. CHANGES AND INTERVENTIONS The Mencey Hotel has undergone several extensions or reforms since 1957 over its original structure, since its height increased to four floors, a front terrace and a curved area were also added.
