Once again, the old Azo beach serves as the setting for the construction of a piece of history of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This large stack of four jets located in front of the old Civil or Homeless Hospital, bordering on the Santos ravine, served as a water livelihood for the former inhabitants of the emblematic fishing district (currently disappeared, although not its top nimo ) El Cabo neighborhood. It was built in 1837, under the order of Lorenzo Pastor y Castro, former professor of Fine Arts at the Academy. Its construction was defrayed with the money from the collection for the works of the Tahodio Valley. This source represents the end point of the water supply for consumption in the neighborhoods that originated in the aforementioned valley. This source was dedicated to General Tom s Morales, in gratitude for his good work and his resounding effort or during the water channeling projects in the town. The source is directed to the south, its length perpendicular to the adjacent building, the Old Civil Hospital. Its elevation, a rectangular parapet, was built with ashlars of basic stone.
