The transforming stations, as well as the large water reservoirs, were built in the capital in the first years of the 20th century, to supply the new neighborhoods that were urbanized in the peripheries of the capital's center. It is usually the responsibility of leading architects, being the municipal technician Antonio Pintor and Ocete, to be responsible for these u2018torreones u2019 that show characteristics of the ecological style of those years. Two of them are still managed by the central Unelco-Endesa, while the one located in the Garc Park in Sanabria remains abandoned. This transformer station located at the intersection of Calle del Perd n (former General Goded) and Horacio Nelson Street and supplied electricity to the Salamanca District. |

It is a symmetrical building composed of two elements: tower and base, and surrounded by points of light made of cast iron. The prismatic base, with a semi-curved tile roof, which served as a warehouse for the installation of machinery and large moldings, a four-sided tower emerges, topped with a small curtain with openings in all its faces . |
