Organized by the Delegation in Santa Cruz de Tenerife of the Official College of Architects of the Canary Islands, an international exhibition of outdoor sculptures along the Ramblas of Santa Cruz took place in December 1973, starting with the emblematic emblem Lady of the sculptor Martin Chirino. All Spanish sculptors who participated in this international exhibition left their work in the streets and squares of Santa Cruz (Jos Abad, Andr s Alfaro, Nestor Basterrechea, Rubio Cam n, Xavier Corber, Jaume Cubells, Feliciano Hern ndez, Amadeo Gabino, Jorge Jimenez Casas, Eduardo Gregorio, Jos Guinovart, Marcel Mart, Remigio Mendiburu, Joan Mir, Eusebio Sempere, Pablo Serrano, Francisco Sobrino, Jos Mar a Subirachs, Gustavo Torner and Ricardo Ugarte. Likewise, works by previously disappeared sculptors such as Alberto Sanchez, Oscar Dom Nguez, Pablo Gargallo, Julio Gonz Lez and Manolo Millares were contemplated in Santa Cruz. In addition to the Spanish participants, Kenneth Armitage, Bernard Meadows, Henry Moore and Eduardo Paolozzi of England attended the call; from France participated Claude Viseux; from Italy, Mario ceroli and Arnaldo Pomodoro; Gotfried Honegger, from Switzerland; Mark Macken of Belgium, having a qualified participation of works by Alexander Calder of the United States, Alicia Penalba y Mar a Sim n of Argentina, jesus Soto of Venezuela, Federico Assler of Chile and Agunst n C rdenas of Cuba.
