Henry S. MOORE. Castleford, Yorkshire (Great Britain, 1898-1986).
The author of this great work that is located on the Rambla de Santa Cruz, Henry Moore, is one of the great masters of the modern sculpture of the s. XX. He achieved worldwide fame for his monumental bronze and marble sculptures exhibited in outdoor, public and public spaces around the world.
In the middle of the s. XX, Moore began to make sculptures by molding the figure in clay or plaster before finishing the work in bronze, as described, using the technique of molding in sand or lost wax.

His works generally reflect an abstract image of the human being, mostly female figures - except during the 50s where he leans toward the sets of figures - characterized by their curved and empty lines.
