The ceiba (Ceiba petandra) is a large tree that is located in a small space of the Viera y Clavijo Cultural Park, which served as a shadow space for the students of the former school of the Assumptionists, was planted from A seed brought from Cuba. There is another copy two years older in G Mar, the Ceiba de D. Ar stides.

La Ceiba is a species introduced in the Canary Islands as an ornamental from tropical America, where it plays a cultural role similar to the Drago in the Canary Islands.

This specimen is pruned regularly at a height of two meters, mainly, and scars of well-closed names. It is located on the side of the park, near the street adjacent to Avenida San Sebasti n.
