Sculpture without known author. Commissioned by the initiative of Father Chacobo Juste of the Paul Fathers of San Agust n, and financed by popular subscription and the Normal School of Teachers of San Crist bal de La Laguna. She was brought from the peninsula in 1929, passing different vicissitudes at the time of the Republic: when the secular education program was introduced, she was deposited in a private house to avoid its installation. After a failed attempt to place it on the facade of the church of San Agust n, it was finally erected in May 1960 in its current location. |

It presides over the city's Plaza de San Cristóbal. 2.50 m long and made of white marble, it is located on a factory pedestal with a square section and lined with a natural stone veneer. At the base of the pedestal there is a plaque with the following inscription: Oh Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who turn to you! Take care of us Virgin of the Miraculous 11/27/1997 |
