MONUMENTO INTERNACIONAL ESCALERA DE CARACOL

This monument was erected in 2007 at the Mesa Mota of La Laguna to commemorate the 30 years since the accident at the Los Rodeos airport that cost the lives of more than 500 people.

Its author Ruud van de Wint symbolizes this commemoration in his work Escalera de Caracol that opens to the sky with the Los Rodeos airport and the Teide in the background.
