The Hesp rides house is named after the Royal Hesp Rides Sports Club of La Laguna. It is an old 17th-century building that currently houses the offices of the Autonomous Sports Agency of the City of San Crist Bal de La Laguna. The rehabilitation works of this property were stopped for years due to the many deficiencies that were found that led to a modification of the original project. Since 1999, the Vice Minister of Culture of the Government of the Canary Islands and the City Council of La Laguna signed an agreement for the rehabilitation of a part of this property, but the works were not carried out due to the extinction of that rehabilitation contract . After the Governing Council of the Autonomous Community approved the state of emergency after the analysis of several technicians and historians who determined the important state of deterioration, it was Tuesday, August 2, 2005 when the works began of the old house with a budget of 509,640 euros by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the autonomous Executive. The rehabilitation project was carried out by the architect Fernando Beautell and the person in charge of the company that carried out the work was Vtor Rodr Guez.

According to the architect responsible for the rehabilitation work Fernando Beautell, the house is very interesting because of its architectural typology. It has a main patio, a service patio, a mezzanine cabinet and colorful coffered ceilings that make up all the typical elements of a house from the 17th or early 18th centuries. In the rehabilitation, original aspects of the house were rescued after the modernist additions incorporated over time. The structures were improved and pavements were incorporated in stone material acting respectfully with the original preserved materials. Rehabilitation was carried out by the company of V ctor Rodr guez e Hijos
