It is part of the I International Exhibition of Street Sculptures organized by the Tinerfe District or the Official College of Architects of the Canary Islands in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, between December 1973 and January 1974. A total of 43 sculptures participated in it. Organized by the Official College of Architects of the Canary Islands, it constitutes one of the best exhibitions of abstract art, made up of large-scale works and notable visual and aesthetic power. |

It is observed how different cubic modules are in a game of balance with gravity, supported by means of tensioners that are oriented radially from a curved base, which invites us all this structure to a clear dynamism and With the sensation that their elements are suspended in the air, they find themselves leaning among themselves on their edges, painted in orange and thus defining their shape, it would seem that they were going to fall in block from one moment to another. Feliciano Hern ndez, born in Vila in 1936, and based in Navalcarnero from an early age, studied at the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid, and exhibited in rooms in Europe and America. He won the Sculpture Prize at the International Biennial of Ibiza. Its artistic activity in the decade of the sixties was characterized by an organic influence, of clear plant inspiration, inclined later by structures that perished rather than composition of geological forms. Between the end of this same decade and the beginning of the seventies, he is interested in constructivism, which will lead him to play with the geometry and the modules, the volumes, the gravity and the dynamic tensions that describe u2026etc. |
