LA ROSA 75, PASAJE PISACA 1

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE
- Arquitectura Civil y Doméstica. S.XX y Posterior -

Building that closes the fourth corner of the passage or alley Pisaca and that has a great similarity with those that rise in the other three corners of said alley, although this building is wider and seems later in its execution, since that its construction date is framed at the top of the central door indicated in 1905. Although the typology is marked by the work of the work master Federico Sol y Escabia, he died three years before that date , so we dare to intuit that under their plans and along with some tweaks that did not break the uniformity characteristics of the four corners of the Pisaca passage, the works were carried out by the architect Antonio Pintor.

It is a building for two-storey houses with a central gable canopy and window enclosed by pilasters. It has the common characteristics of the buildings of the other corners of the passage: openings regularly distributed on the facade, doors on the ground floor, windows closed by lattice on the top, moldings and cornices separating the plants, etc.

The basic detail that breaks the entire composition of the facade and that differentiates it from the other three similar constructions in this area, apart from its larger surface area, is the common door opening to the building. This detail, typical of the architect Pintor, is framed within the semicircular arch, so characteristic for the main entrances, with fan-shaped forging uprights that start from the center of the base towards the ends ....

The second floor, with windows that repeat the lower rhythm of openings decorated with iron railings and molding on the lintel. Coronation of the central hole with railing. The rectangular plan is symmetrical and highlights its central distribution serving each of the rooms and giving the backyard.
