LA ROSA 43

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE
- Arquitectura Civil y Doméstica. S.XX y Posterior -

Building for housing attributable to the work of the architect Antonio Pintor y Ocete, who, possibly, will write his project approximately at the dawn of the first day of the twentieth century.

This is a modest and content example, carried out under the canons of an ecological language with some modernist touches.

At present, the interior of the building does not exist, since a new construction has been manufactured inside, remaining only from the original, its facade. The new interior construction not only occupies the described plot but also expands towards the adjacent building.

On the left side of the house it rises on two clearly differentiated floors. In the ground floor there are three large openings, with a lowered arch and decorative perimeter molding, in the form of doors (framed by a cushioned realism that transpires in a basic characteristic of the building). The sides are access doors and the central one is a window with a sill. On the upper floor there are also three large gaps, aligned according to the vertical axis with the ones below, in the form of windows that are topped by a comb-like crown. This upper floor is crossed by a balcony closed by a very simple fence.

A cornice with moldings gives way to a traditional crowning carried out by means of a balustrade with regular fragmentation by sections. In addition, the balustrade has intermediate pilasters (which continue vertically in the lower blind countries) crowned by flakes. The left opening has a sill, while the two openings on the right are grouped by the balustrade balcony, which is also supported by ornate muscles.

While on the right side the house is structured on two well differentiated floors; in the ground floor there are three openings, all doors, with arcane arches and in the upper one, three other holes, this time windows, are topped by a comb-like finish, on which a modernist decoration based on motifs appears Vegetables of the art-nouveau type. The gaps in this upper part are closed by a balcony with ...

The state of conservation of the house is good.

The left part of the living room has a lot of fouling by differential washing in the balustrade of the Tico, at the end and on the wall of the lower floor, under the ledge. In addition, ornate masses and the portion of the wall under the balcony presents dirt. There are some males on the balcony and in the balustrade, due to the running of the water on the iron and then on the stone.

On the right side the state of conservation of the house is good. It presents in the balustrade of the Tico, in the cornisamiento and in the slab of the balcony a lot of fouling by differential washing, due to the running of the water on the iron and then on the stone. Also the ornate mules present a bit of dirt.
