ELENA GONZÁLEZ RAMÍREZ (CARTEL DEL CARNAVAL 2011)

The edition of the 2011 carnival poster returns to traditional modes. This poster should be seen above all as a tribute to Enrique Gonz lez Bethencourt, the father of the murgas and director of the Afilarmica NifuNifa, author of the 1992 poster. He died last year, on May 13, 2010, is now his daughter , Elena Gonz lez Ram rez , who is in charge of the cartel, and as we can expect, choose as the protagonist the figure of a clown, touched with little black sonbrerito, square glasses, red wig, highlighted mouth and framed in white, in sum one of the components of the NifNifa, and why not its director. If we had any doubt, from a light strip of cloth, which descends from the word Carnival, and whose prolongation makes a long journey, as a clothesline, from which hangs the number 2011, and then the profile of the seven islands of the Canary Islands, in a legend about the flag you can read the word CUBANITO ..... This is the emblematic song of the NifNifa, since 1966, which interprets in each edition of the chicharrero carnival, modifying the lyrics , according to the most trending topic of each year.
