The Carnival House is located inside a building that was originally to be the visitor center of the Barranco de Santos and that has been built within the conditioning project of this ravine that provided a new connection point in the city; project by the architects Juan Manuel Palerm and Leopoldo Tabares de Nava started in 1994, whose execution work did not begin until 2003 and ended in 2010. In 2016, the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife launched a public tender to carry out the renovation of the abandoned building more than 10 years ago to house the Carnival House. The winning project is 'Serpentinas y Confetis ' and proposes a space with a place of exhibition, conservation, learning and meeting of the different groups linked to the parties. The author is from a multidisciplinary team that had the collaboration of expert Ram n Guimer Pe a, historian and great connoisseur of the Carnival of Santa Cruz. They are part of the team: Leonor Su rez Engel, interior architect; Gabriel Roca, corporate marketing and design; Angel Gonz Lez de Vallejo, museum and cultural consultant, Juan Jesus Labrador, graphic designer and John P. Cruz, production and production. The Center for Documentation and Conservation of Carnival Heritage that is not yet created is located in the building. |

The Carnival Museum is located in the Barranco de Santos Park, under the Galcer Bridge n. In the building exhibition activities, meeting room and restoration are developed. In plan it has an irregular shape articulating the different rooms from the vestibule. From the lobby you can access a permanent exhibition hall of 371 m2. In this place there is a free height enclosure without a false ceiling to expose the Carnival Queen's costume. It has a multipurpose room of 163 m2 convertible into an auditorium or temporary exhibition hall. Both rooms are connected by the lobby which gives access to the cafeteria, glazed and open to an outdoor terrace. |
