CASA DE LA ROSA VILLA CLARA

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE
- Arquitectura Civil y Doméstica. S.XX y Posterior -

Bernardo de la Rosa was enthusiastic about Georgian homes in the United States, after seeing a reproduction in which the columned porch seemed most attractive. In this way he commissioned Antonio Pintor to project something similar for his home. The architect, faced with such a compromised situation, managed to succeed. To do this, he arranged an ecliptic layout village to which a columnar atrium juxtaposed, but, instead of maintaining the giant order of the southern houses, he preferred a more proportionate space and in accordance with the Mediterranean tradition that had been so vigorous. Acquired a few years ago through Catalonian Neucentism. The project was signed in July 1922, possibly ending in late 1923.

Currently the building houses facilities of the College of Sea Purity a.
