CALLE CASTILLO, 55 IMELDO SERIS, 86

SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE
- Arquitectura Civil y Doméstica. S.XX y Posterior -

The architect Jos Blasco Robles carried out an important constructive production in the Canary Islands around the thirties of the 20th century. Among his works, this property stands out, whose main facade is towards Castillo Street. Construction is considered one of the most representative examples of expressionist rationalism. The lack of ornamentation provides the facade with a series of distinctive elements such as: order, balance and harmony.

The property, rectangular, is structured on three floors. Its façade is characterized by a clear predominance, both of the straight line and of the curved lines that can be seen on the balconies, located in the central part of the building. The openings, quadrangular in shape, are located symmetrically on both sides of the balconies with smooth parapet and curved lateral end. The windows are the same height and in line; They are metallic (iron and aluminum), with wooden rolling shutters. The facade on Imeldo Ser s meets the same rules of composition.

On the ground floor, renovations and expansion of gaps for commercial showcases were made.
