Building destined to house a Pavilion of Practices in the Port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, designed in collaboration between the architect Tom s Machado and Mndez Fern ndez de Lugo and the engineer Miguel Pintor, in 1947. This is of a construction elaborated under guidelines limited to rationalist aesthetics, style not very frequented in his professional career by the architect author of the project. The building is located within the port facilities, at a certain height above sea level and very close to the mouth of the port, from where a wide mica of all the docks of the port enclosure was dominated. This was indispensable for carrying out the tasks of the port practices. The building is built figuring and imitating the shape of a large bridge of control of a boat. Currently this construction performs various port functions.

CASA DEL PRÁCTICO

Building built on a horseshoe-shaped plant, where the curvature is located on the flank that faces the port, it is there where the main facade is composed of a basement from which a staircase that leads to a gallery to which produces a deep gap in the composition. The openings that open to the outside are combined in rectangular shapes with others in the manner of portholes. The building has a large roof on which a viewpoint rises.
